Meet the Management Team
Say hello to the management team that keeps IPU ticking:
Robert Beebee – Chairman
Robert retired as MD in October 2019, but is still involved with IPU as Chairman. Robert qualified from Sheffield University with a Business degree way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth (his words!). He has worked at IPU all his working life and is very passionate about IPU, its people, customers and suppliers. He wants to oversee IPU being a brilliant company to do business with. Family life sees his wife doing voluntary work, while their 3 boys work in London. Their daughter is reading biology at Bristol University. Racing historic cars around the UK and Europe keeps Robert off the streets, although travel with Sarah is high on the passions too!
Louise Hazel – Managing Director
Louise joined IPU in March 2015, having been HR Director and HR Manager for a number of years across a range of industries. Louise is responsible for our People and Culture strategy ensuring we attract, retain and maximise the talent, potential and performance of our brilliant people at IPU. Louise moved to the Midlands in 2008 from Scotland and outside of work enjoys spending time with family and friends and being a soccer mum to two lads aged 16 and 17.
Ian Cleary – Commercial Director
Ian joined IPU in 1990 and was appointed a director in 1993, aged 27. Ian takes great pleasure in looking back at the role he played in helping IPU grow. He believes it’s never dull at IPU, which is what motivates Ian to come to work each day. Outside of work, Ian enjoy holidays in the sun, hopefully with his golf clubs. Sport really makes him tick, and Ian loves nothing more than to get involved in competitions and matches.
David Caddick – Sales and Technical Director
David boasts an impressive 25 years of service with IPU. Now as Starting Divisional Director, David manages worldwide sales, all technical engineering aspects of Starting and supplier relationships.
Outside of work David has been married to Jane for over 20 years with whom he has two children. He runs a children’s football academy, owns a menagerie of animals including three Siamese and one Bengal cat and 2 horses, and is growing the world’s hottest chillies.
