IPU’s response to the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak

March 4th, 2020 in News

IPU Group have taken some initial measures in response to the continuing outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) across the various countries, in particular we have begun to review our Supply Chain in the most affected regions and also a specific review of our critical components. At this time, we have no identified risk in our ability to fulfil the needs of our customers. We will continue to monitor this closely as the situation develops.

In addition, as we utilise an MRP demand planning system and our process requires supplier acknowledgement within 24 hours, we will become immediately aware should alternative sources of supply be required and take the necessary action. Where at all possible, we would encourage our customers to raise orders in advance, particularly for key or critical parts they may require.

As an organisation, we have a robust business continuity plan that would become effective in the event of the worst case scenarios which would allow us to continue to operate with minimum disruption and we continue to monitor and share the latest information from the WHO and also local/national guidance on protective measures and restrictions around travel.
