BS EN590 is a demanding standard set for diesel fuel if it is to be sold in the EU, Croatia, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland. It describes the physical properties fuel must meet, including the limits for water and sulphur content.

It is essential you regularly test and if necessary maintain your stored fuel to ensure it complies with this standard. You could be at risk of power or engine failure if these measures are not taken.
